IMPORTÂNCIA DO EIXO CÉREBRO-INTESTINOMICROBIOTA NA MODULAÇÃO DO SISTEMA NERVOSO CENTRAL E SUA RELAÇÃO COM A DOENÇA DE ALZHEIMER: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

Resumo

Introdução: A fisiopatologia da Doença de Alzheimer (DA) é caracterizada pela perda da função cognitiva e de memória de curto e longo prazo. A microbiota intestinal é um dos fatores relacionados com a progressão da DA, por meio de bactérias, agentes pró-inflamatórios e citocinas. Diante disso, este estudo procurou discutir sobre a relação da microbiota intestinal com a DA e fatores influenciadores como dieta, prática de exercícios físicos e dosagem de componentes biológicos. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada a partir das bases de dados U. S. National Library of Medicine (PUBMED) e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), a partir de 57 artigos científicos completos, publicados no período entre 2018 e 2022 nos idiomas português e inglês, que abordam a relação entre a microbiota intestinal/DA e suas relações propostas. O Método PICOT foi utilizado como forma de organizar os dados.  Resultados: Em grupos afetados, houve o acúmulo de placas beta amiloide (Aβ) e proteína tau (p-tau) no córtex e hipocampo e ácidos graxos de cadeia curta (AGCC) diminuídos - como o butirato. Os filos bacterianos estavam desregulados, sendo Firmicutes, Faecalibacterium e Proteobacteria diminuídos e Bacteroidetes aumentados. Actinobacteria também estava em disbiose. Tanto os pré quanto os probióticos foram estratégias preventivas e promissoras na neurodegeneração. Da mesma forma a atividade física se mostrou eficácia em reduzir as placas beta amilóides. Conclusões: A alimentação, hábitos de vida saudável com a inclusão de atividades físicas regulares são fatores que podem melhorar as funções de domínio cognitivo e motora, com impacto positivo na qualidade de vida e no bem estar do paciente com DA sendo até uma forma de tratamento preventivo não farmacológico.
