Ao par da problemática de pesquisa, investigou-se a realidade de alguns cursos de graduação, sendo eles: Engenharia Mecânica, Engenharia Elétrica, Agronomia, Sistemas de Informação, Engenharia Civil e Engenharia de Controle e Automação, que são predominantemente masculinos. Para isso, aplicou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa, em que 46 acadêmicas mulheres responderam. Ao final, constatou-se que as acadêmicas dos cursos investigados, consideram que enfrentam preconceito relacionado ao mercado de trabalho. Já em relação ao ambiente acadêmico, a existência da diferenciação entre gêneros por parte de docentes ou colegas homens, é praticamente inexistente.</p><p class="resumoabstract"><strong>Palavras-Chave</strong>: Profissões. Preconceito.</p><p class="resumoabstract"> </p><div><p class="abstractCxSpFirst"><strong>PRESENCE OF ACADEMICS IN PREDOMINANT MALE COURSES AT A CATARINIAN UNIVERSITY</strong></p><p class="abstractCxSpMiddle"><strong>Abstract</strong>: The research aimed to verify what is the perception of the students of predominantly male courses at a University located in the state of Santa Catarina, in relation to the differences between genders and opportunities in the job market. Along with the research problem, the reality of some undergraduate courses was investigated, namely: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agronomy, Information Systems, Civil Engineering and Control and Automation Engineering, which are predominantly male. To this end, a qualitative and quantitative research was applied, in which 46 female academics responded. At the end, it was found that the academics of the investigated courses, consider that they face prejudice related to the job market. In relation to the academic environment, the existence of gender differentiation by male teachers or colleagues is practically non-existent.</p><p class="abstractCxSpLast"><strong>Keywords:</strong> Professions.
