RESCUE AND PRESERVATION OF THE CULTURE OF BENZEDEIRAS AND BENZEDORS IN THE CAÇADOR REGION - SC

Abstract

The extension experience report aims to know and catalog the people who use these cultural, religious and mystical practices brought through millennia, rescuing the bases of these traditions, highlighting the main practices that keep them until our days, as well as socializing this popular knowledge passed down from generation to generation. The present work aims to understand and socialize the process of blessing, pointing out its influences and the path that the blesser travels until he is ready to carry out his practices. It is a descriptive and exploratory study, of a qualitative nature, involving more than 30 identified blessers. In this sense, the research addresses first the identification and cataloging of the participants of this ancient art, and secondly, it aims to socialize their practices and possible impacts of good saying with the community, considering the use of medicinal herbs, prayers, prayers and other utensils as practices in alternative health. As a result, it was possible to catalog 30 (thirty) blessers, among these mentioned, reports of their practices and experiences have already been stored, generating a network articulation in a multi and interdisciplinary way, adding the partnership of the health pastoral and the municipal garden. In addition, the expansion of the project deserves to be highlighted because it has been involving private companies and public governance as an incentive for these practices, mainly through the articulation and creation of a public space containing a biological clock based on medicinal herbs, in addition to the launch of the map of the blessers.
