PROESDE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: A REPORT OF EXPERIENCES

Abstract

The experience report of the Higher Education Program for Regional Development - PROESDE contemplates a little of the trajectory of the program within the University of Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe - UNIARP, more precisely between the years 2021-2023. Within this period, the number of projects, academics and people impacted by the actions. The report also presents some of the activities developed by PROESDE through partnerships between the university and local city halls, taking into account the thematic axes of the extension. In other words, this work highlights the projects involving the elderly in Monte Carlo (SC), the Good Health Practices project in Frei Rogério (SC), the Revitalization of the Municipal Library in Bocaina do Sul (SC), the Incentive to Reading by Lebon Régis (SC) and the Storytelling Project for Children in Matos Costas (SC); Ecological Trail Project in Horto de Caçador and Community Educational Garden in Caçador. The methodology used was through activities and actions to raise awareness and guidance through lectures, conversation circles and practical activities in order to provide opportunities for dialogue and interaction between the academic and the community. As a result of the extension activities developed by the projects in the contracted municipalities, it considers the continuity of the agreements during the 3 years in the municipalities, as well as the impacts generated by the involvement of academics and the community served directly and indirectly by the participants' family members.
